I hung up with Sarah, still stunned. Partially from the emotional weight of what she'd shared, but more so from what her vulnerability has made me so instantly realize.

I said to Peter, my husband:

"What if every experience you and I have had, every role in every company we've worked for, and every challenge we've faced was preparing us for this moment?"

As I'd done with Sarah, Peter sat silently, as I obviously had more to say and wasn't necessarily asking him to answer my question.

"What if we weren't stuck in roles without complete decision-making authority? What if this entire time in our careers, what we've really been are students in an intensely rigorous education in brokerage-building, and that only NOW are we supposed to go out and choose what to do with all this knowledge we've acquired?"

I could tell by Peter's face alone that he could see my gears turning, and a fire in my eyes, and that he really just wanted me to share this realization I'd suddenly come to.

"We need to found our own brokerage. We just do. We know exactly how to build it right, because we've proven it works. We just need to be the ones holding the key. Wait, we already are holding the key, bec-"

"Let's do it," he replied.

With that, we launched ENRG.

Peter and I haven't just observed this evolution from the sidelines, wondering who would step up and tackle the current and future challenges in our industry. The Depth Behind Our Expertise

Over 25 years, I studied real estate brokerage from every angle.

I spent fifteen years at a boutique brokerage, learning the foundation from within the trenches. Selling, experiencing shifts in technology, and the market. Building businesses, managing operations, and understanding the human side of this industry from the boutique perspective.

I also spent nine years mastering virtual brokerage models from start-up to scale. Pioneering models across the US and Canada. Co-founding initiatives, proving that culture connection strategies work at scale, and leveraging technology to amplify culture, but never making the mistake of believing it can create it.

As a Chief Culture Officer, I created culture initiatives that went viral, proving that the right message at the right time can create real movement and delight. I established scalable culture frameworks that drove results like 161% agent growth and an 885% revenue surge that would ultimately lead to taking the company public.

As for Peter? He spent over 20 years at Microsoft building foundational data systems. He received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Science and Cognitive Psychology from Indiana University. He worked as a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, defining agent plans and driving exponential growth.

This was only possible because Peter knew how to design systems that would enhance human connection rather than replace it. His background in cognitive science meant truly understanding how agents actually think and work, not simply reinforcing what corporations assume is true.
