As a native Texan who got to Austin as fast as I could, I came here to go to the University of Texas, where I met my future husband. After we graduated, we decided like so many others that Austin had everything we love about Texas and we stayed! I went to work for the University, and my husband started his career in engineering, but the lure of real estate as more than a place to call home but a way to build wealth, soon got us started in investing. Today our family is as likely to be discussing a particular house over dinner as we are to talk about the weather or a movie.
