From Humble Beginnings to Industry Pioneers
Our joint adventure in the real estate industry began when Erinn joined eXp Realty in 2014, a time when it was a budding enterprise with fewer than 300 agents. This period of rapid learning and growth was driven by personal connections and a shared vision of what the future of real estate could look like. Peter came on board in 2016, bringing his expertise to overhaul the enterprise systems and prepare the company for exponential growth.
This era was marked by an intense focus on automating agent plans, transaction management, onboarding, implementing revenue share model calculations, and expanding our market presence. It was a time of building, learning, and laying the groundwork for what would come.
A New Chapter with Real Brokerage
In 2020, our path took us to the Real Brokerage, where we embarked on an ambitious project to overhaul the brokerage model. We started from the ground up, redefining the company's purpose, values, and agent plans. We aimed to create a more inclusive, scalable model to attract and support thousands of agents. By the end of the first year, our efforts had paid off, with 2,000 new agents joining the fold.
Breaking New Ground: The Founding of Our Brokerage
After a brief hiatus to focus on personal matters, we were ready to launch our own venture, armed with invaluable experiences and a clear vision. Our brokerage was born from a desire to create what we always believed a brokerage could be — a place where agents thrive, supported by a model that values growth, collaboration, and true partnership.
Our backgrounds in virtual brokerages, software development, and operational excellence have been instrumental in shaping our approach. We've seen the pitfalls of traditional models and are committed to offering a better alternative.
Redefining the Revenue Share Model
We recognized early on that traditional revenue share models had significant flaws. They often promoted a counterproductive "recruit at all costs" mentality. To address this, we introduced a revolutionary approach that eliminates the pressure to recruit personally on the first tier. Our Connect and Thrive™ program is a testament to our belief in professional, respectful recruitment, focusing on the comprehensive benefits of joining our brokerage.

A Brief Diversion and Lessons Learned
In mid-2024, we were approached by the founders of another brokerage with an exciting opportunity to partner with them to grow it nationally. At first, the alignment seemed promising, and we were eager to bring our expertise and vision to the table. However, within just a few months, it became clear that their vision ultimately did not align with ours.
While the partnership wasn’t the right fit, we are deeply grateful for the experience and the lessons it provided. It reminded us of the importance of staying true to our core values and our vision of a successful brokerage—a place where agents are empowered, well-supported, and positioned for long-term success.
That realization reignited our passion and commitment to ENRG Realty. It served as a powerful reminder of why we started ENRG in the first place: to build a brokerage that redefines what it means to thrive in real estate. We are more determined than ever to lead with transparency and authenticity, elevate the agent experience, and create a community where everyone has the opportunity to flourish.
